Sr. Mary Michael, Provincial Superior
Sr. Mary Michael, as the new Provincial Superior, oversees the operations of St. Agnes Home and Carmelite Child Development Center, as well as the other Apostolates of the South Central Province of the Carmelite Sisters of the Divine Heart of Jesus. In much of her religious life, she has had roles related more directly to the convent and the Sisters, such as vocation directress and formator for our young Sisters. She looks forward to serving the staff and residents of St. Agnes Home more directly in her new role.Angela Ruppel, Administrator
Angela has nearly 30 years of experience in the Senior Living Industry. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Care Administration and a Master’s Degree in Health Care Management, with an emphasis on Gerontology. The part she loves most about her work is the relationship building with the residents, their families/friends and the employees. Working at St. Agnes Home is a true blessing for her, as she is a devout Catholic herself. In her spare time, she enjoys being with her family and friends and her dog, Lambeau (yes, she is a Green Bay Packer fan!)
Sr. Mary Faustina, Director of Nursing
Sr. Mary Faustina entered the Carmelite Sisters DCJ in August 1999. She entered with a bachelor's degree of Science in Nursing. After her initial formation, she began in our nursing department as a charge nurse and then progressed into social services. She has been stationed in our homes in Kentucky and Texas as well as nursing supervisor and as RN consultant, respectively. Sister describes her position as full of surprises as she encounters various departments in her role. She jokingly says that she stays out of the maintenance department, though, leaving it to our maintenance men! Sister's favorite part of working at St. Agnes Home is having Jesus present in the Blessed Sacrament and the joy of having our residents here with us.
Joanne Giljum, Director of Community Outreach
Joanne joined the Carmelite Sisters of the Divine Heart of Jesus team in August, 2019, as Director of Community Outreach. After retiring from her 32-year career in the corporate world, she wanted to put her second act to work in the non-profit world, especially supporting senior citizens. As a devout Catholic, working in a Catholic environment was an added bonus. For the previous 25 years, Joanne worked in Human Resources with her final position as Director, Human Resources. Joanne wears multiple hats in her role: volunteer recruitment, event planning, fundraising, gift shop oversight, newsletter creation and a myriad of other surprises that come her way.
Heather Walsh, Director of Human Resources
Heather joined us in November 2021. She has been in working in Human Resources for the last 20 years with a focus in Health Care since 2020. Heather is proud to be a valued member of the Leadership Team and is always willing to listen to or assist in any way a resident, fellow employee, family member or candidate. Heather has expressed her wish to end her career here at St. Agnes Home as she has found her place, her home, as an employee and Leader. Heather attends St. Clement of Rome Parish.
Beverly Weldon, Director of Admissions
Beverly brings years of experience in senior care, having served in a variety of roles including CNA, Floor Nurse, and Director of Nursing before becoming Director of Admissions at St. Agnes Home. She is passionate about helping each resident and family navigate the transition to their new home with compassion, while supporting both their medical and spiritual needs. Beverly is dedicated to ensuring every resident feels welcomed, valued, and truly at home at St. Agnes Home.Kati Schaefer, Business Office Generalist
Kati has over a decade of experience in the food service and hospitality industry. She has been with St. Agnes Home since 2017, where she started as a receptionist, and later transitioned into the Activity Department. Kati is now expanding her skills and has moved into the Business Office as she is always eager to learn new things. When at home, Kati enjoys reading, doing arts & crafts, and playing with her German Shepherd, Ace.
James Cashatt, Director of Social Services
As Director of Social Services, James is passionate about building genuine connections with residents and their families. He takes pride in providing personalized support—listening, guiding, and ensuring everyone feels valued and understood.
With over 30 years of experience in social work, James has served in areas ranging from child welfare and mental health to substance use treatment and residential care. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Arizona State University and a master’s in Professional Counseling from Webster University.
When he’s not at work, you’ll likely find James riding his Harley to new destinations, spending time with his German Shepherd, Vidar, or relaxing with family—whether it’s on the patio overlooking the Mississippi River or out camping in the RV.
Cal Manske, Director of Dining Services

Cal is south St. Louis born and raised. He grew up with both of his parents being blind and was put to work around the house at a very young age, including cooking for his family. Cal began his culinary training at Forest Park Community College but continued learning under the head chef at Pietros and three different executive chefs before the age of 30. Cal has worked in Senior Living for 30 years and has a passion for it. He loves to get to know the residents and their preferences. Working in a holy place like St. Agnes Home is intriguing to Cal and he admires the deep faith and dedication of the Carmelite Sisters.
Dijana Miskovic, Housekeeping Supervisor
Dijana joined us in 2000 after many years as a stay-at-home mother. After gaining experience in our laundry department and working for a short time as a housekeeper at the Carmelite Child Development Center on the same campus, Dijana was made the head of the housekeeping/laundry department in 2006. Dijana shares with all that she loves her job here. She is valued for her leadership skills, enduring flexibility, and ready smile. Dijana and her family attend St. Joseph’s Croatian Church in Soulard.
John Lombard, Director of Maintenance
John joins St. Agnes Home from Hilton Hotels. He worked in construction and maintenance in industrial, commercial, residential and resort environments. He holds certifications in HVAC, OSHA and as a general contractor. His goal is to make St. Agnes Home safe and secure for the Sisters, residents and staff.
