We have exciting news!!!! One of our Carmelite Sisters D.C.J. who died 100 years ago last month on March 10th in St. Louis was just declared 'venerable' in Rome!!! One week ago today, the Dicastery for the Causes of the Saints shared that Pope Leo XIV signed the decree attesting to our Sr. M. Theresia of the Most Holy Trinity’s heroic virtue! With grateful hearts, we joyfully celebrated with our Sisters, St. Agnes Home family, and our children at Carmelite Child Development Center this past week. Now, we would love to celebrate with you! You're invited to join us for... a Mass of Thanksgiving in honor of Venerable Sr. M. Theresia Sunday, May 17th at 2:30 pm in our St. Agnes Home Chapel Reception immediately following Mass including a presentation by the Sisters on the life of Sr. M. Theresia. R.S.V.P at https://form.jotform.com/261226218783055 We Sisters have been reflecting on the beautiful providence that this soul, Sr. M. Theresia, was laboring for souls in the vineyard of St. Charles, MO, 100 years ago during the Archdiocese of St. Louis' centennial and now, 100 years later during our bi-centennial, the Lord has ordained that this soul be declared venerable! What a bi-centennial gift for the Archdiocese of St. Louis and to the universal Church! What an inspiration to all of us, lay men/women and Sisters alike, to strive to be saints! We look forward to celebrating with you!!! ~Your Carmelite Sisters of the Divine Heart of Jesus

The Carmelite Sisters of the Divine Heart of Jesus, DCJ and St. Agnes Home are participating in #igiveCatholic on #GivingTuesday, December 2, 2025. This is a nationally recognized, special day set aside to honor the beauty of our Catholic faith. It offers all of us the opportunity to support the many wonderful Catholic organizations that serve, such as the Carmelite Sisters of the Divine Heart of Jesus, DCJ. Please join us to give thanks and give back!

This year, our #iGiveCatholic goal is $20,000 to expand and enhance our outdoor gathering spaces—places where our residents can enjoy the sunshine, fresh air, and the peace of God’s creation. Our residents cherish time outdoors with family and friends, and with your support, we can make these moments even more comfortable and meaningful.

Your generosity will help us add two gazebos with outdoor furniture in the front of the home, and a sun shade sail in our Care Center Courtyard—creating shaded, welcoming spaces for visiting, relaxing, and simply enjoying the beauty of God’s world. Every gift, large or small, helps us make our home even more joyful and life-giving for those we serve.

We invite you to make your donation today—either by check or online through our St. Agnes Home website at www.stagneshome.com. Donations made through the St. Agnes Home website or by check can be received anytime from now through December 2, 2025, to be included in the #iGiveCatholic campaign.  If you prefer to make a year-end gift outside of the December 2 deadline, we are still most grateful to receive your donation at a time that works best for you. Please add #igiveCatholic on the memo line of your check to ensure your gift is directed towards this fundraiser.

Please send checks to: St. Agnes Home; 10341 Manchester Road; Kirkwood, MO 63122;  Attn:  #iGiveCatholic/Community Outreach.  If you have any questions, please reach out to Joanne Giljum at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

You can also donate through www.iGiveCatholic.org now through Giving Tuesday, December 2, at 11:59 p.m. You’ll find us listed under “Carmelite Sisters of the Divine Heart of Jesus, Kirkwood MO.”

God Bless you and thank you for your continued support of the Carmelite Sisters of the Divine Heart of Jesus in our mission to provide a haven of peace of and comfort to those whom we serve.
